I think that planning a wedding requires effort. I have said that to anyone who would listen to me. Hey I think I may have said that to the light-post the other night.
However the things you are planning and the level of detail seem to change with the wind. Take for example wedding party tableware, while I fully admit that it plays an important role in the wedding I would say that it is not the most integral part. It is more of a smaller part of the larger idea of wedding design and decor.
I think that one needs to understand that if you foucs and foucus on the most miniscul aspect and pay that much attention to detail there is a good chance you will get stressed out to the point of exhaustion and not being able to handle things. This does no good for anyone.
Therefore I would say that you want to have an overall plan of what you want and then you would drill down to each step within that category. You will do much better as a result and have less stress. Which is a good thing.
